The BactiQuant technology is based on the detection and quantification of a naturally occurring enzyme activity. The analysis include bacterial enzyme activity from planktonic, free living bacteria and adherent or sessile bacteria associated with particles and biofilm sloughing. This confer a sensitivity that allows for detection of bacterial presence before it can be recognized with traditional plate count methods.
The BactiQuant technology can be applied to all water types.
The BQ|100 can be applied in water types such as, potable water, industrial wastewater, process water and saline water.
The BQ|200 can be applied in laboratory grade water, including type I, II and III, as well as pharmaceutical water types such as purified water (PW) and water for injection (WFI/HPW).
